That Diner by Anducci's is a fast-paced café and grab-and-go dining concept located inside the Burnaby Winter Club. We serve club members, families, athletes, and guests with fresh coffee, smoothies, sandwiches, baked goods, and light meals throughout the day. Anducci's Catering is one of Metro Vancouver's premier catering companies, providing exceptional food and service for corporate events, weddings, galas, private functions, and community events. Position Summary

This is a unique hybrid role that combines both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) responsibilities. Successful candidates will provide exceptional customer service while also assisting with food preparation, beverage production, stocking, cleaning, and maintaining a high standard of food quality and presentation. Candidates will learn our systems and work towards joining and supporting our catering division.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House Responsibilities

  • Welcome and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Operate POS and handle cash, debit, and credit transactions.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based beverages, smoothies, and specialty drinks.
  • Maintain attractive displays of food and retail products.
  • Keep the dining and service areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Address guest inquiries and provide excellent service at all times.

Back of House Responsibilities

  • Prepare sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, and other light lunch items.
  • Prepare pastas, pizzas, and entrees.
  • Assist with daily food preparation and production.
  • Portion, package, label, and stock food products.
  • Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety guidelines.
  • Assist with receiving and stocking inventory.
  • Support dishwashing and kitchen cleaning as required.
  • Support the catering division as required with food preparation and FOH execution.
  • Drive and deliver catering orders to customers around the lower mainland.

General Operations

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café and kitchen and commissary.
  • Follow all Food Safe and Health Regulations.
  • Restock beverages, supplies, and ingredient inventory.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Work collaboratively with both café and catering teams when needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous café, restaurant, catering, coffee shop, deli, or food service experience is an asset.
  • Experience preparing coffee and espresso beverages is preferred, but training can be provided.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in both customer-facing and kitchen environments.
  • Ability to multitask during busy service periods.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, catering company, hotel, or food production environment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

 

Requirements

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certification is considered an asset.
  • Serving Right Certification is considered an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License is considered an asset.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Reliable transportation.

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Facilities & Operations Worker to support our culinary, warehouse, and delivery operations.

Position Summary

The Facilities & Operations Worker plays a critical role in keeping our commissary kitchen, warehouse, and vehicle fleet clean, organized, and operating efficiently. This hands-on role combines facility maintenance, dishwashing, delivery support, vehicle care, and assistance to our culinary teams.

The successful candidate enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization, and is comfortable working as part of a fast-paced team.

Key Responsibilities

Commissary & Facility Maintenance

  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the commissary kitchen, warehouse, storage areas, and common spaces.
  • Sweep, mop, sanitize, and perform routine cleaning duties.
  • Organize shelving, equipment, and inventory storage areas.
  • Assist with basic facility upkeep and maintenance tasks.
  • Report repair and maintenance concerns to management.

 

Dishwashing & Equipment Cleaning

  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment.
  • Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, service equipment, and catering supplies.
  • Ensure all equipment meets health and safety standards.

 

Delivery & Logistics Support

  • Deliver food, supplies, equipment, and catering rentals to event locations.
  • Load and unload catering vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with event pickups and returns.
  • Follow delivery schedules and maintain professional customer interactions.

 

Fleet & Vehicle Maintenance

  • Refuel company vehicles.
  • Keep catering vehicles clean and presentable inside and out.
  • Monitor vehicle cleanliness and basic operating condition.
  • Coordinate vehicle parking and staging.
  • Report maintenance issues and assist with scheduling service appointments as required.

 

Culinary Team Support

  • Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks.
  • Portion, package, and label food items.
  • Support kitchen production during busy periods.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.

 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence.
  • Ability to provide a Clean Driver's Abstract.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
  • Comfortable performing physical work in a commercial kitchen and warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience in food service, warehouse, facilities maintenance, delivery, or hospitality is considered an asset but not required.
